Vanilla – High Life LP

DESIGN / PHOTOGRAPHY

I randomly came across Vanilla's High Life album and was inspired by his sampled beat-heavy sound. I decided to make a personal design project out of it and experimented with some typefaces along with recently taken photos. Each emblem represents a track on the album itself.

"High Life is a beat tape of 27 soul-sampling hip hop instrumentals, inspired by producers such as Dilla, Madlib and Onra." - Vanilla

After sharing my personal project with Vanilla we agreed we were on the same wavelength so we collaborated and I created his ID/Branding for  'Soft Focus' which is a follow-up to High Life and part 2 of his soul-inspired beat tape series.
